Snedmore House is a stunning 18th century Georgian manor house on the Jurassic coast in Dorset with superlative views over Kimmeridge Bay. Described as ‘National Trust house without the ropes’ guests staying at this wonderful manor house are immediately immersed in the style and elegant spaces that characterise houses of this era. Furnishings and finishes are traditional, comfortable and welcoming with beautiful antiques throughout. Eight pretty bedrooms are laid out over the top two floors of the house and the three reception rooms plus formal dining room mean that guests will certainly not want for space. Should you be a larger group, the Garden Wing sleeps up to 6 further guests in 3 bedrooms and is available at an additional cost. Outside two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, including both walled and Mediterranean gardens, lead down to woods and fields, past Clavell’s Tower, sphinxes, urns and obelisks, onto Kimmeridge Bay where guests can hire the house Boathouse for the duration of their stay. If you desire more than floating around the house and grounds, there are plenty of activities available locally plus pubs and restaurants aplenty.
