A stunning 5 bedroom house sleeping up to 10 guests on the west coast of Paxos situated above Erimitis beach recognised as one of the best in Greece. Sargasso offers incredible views of the Ionian sea, the dramatic white cliffs and the forests on the surrounding hills. The perfect setting for the ultimate sunset, the villa was built by a local artist and retains a slightly monastic feel. The interiors are spacious and open-plan, with painted beamed ceilings. The house features a large lawn, as well as orchards of fruit trees including orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit and pomegranate. The grounds run down the hillside over multiple terraces offering many picturesque spots among the cypress trees. About a mile down an unpaved road from the village of Magazia, and with only one neighbour in the vicinity, this is a secluded and tranquil house. The beach is a short walk down a hillside public path (the path is uneven so please wear trainers not flip-flops). Inside, the open plan living space and fully equipped kitchen are on the ground floor of the main house both of which open on to the large rear terrace overlooking the pool, the sea and the cliffs. This upper terrace includes a seating area with sofas and a dining table; steps lead down to a large lower terrace around the pool with sun-loungers and a pergola. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, one facing the sea and the other looking out over the beautiful gardens. The former has double doors onto the terrace, and can be arranged as a double or twin. It has an adjacent bathroom with WC and bath (with shower fitting – please note this will be a shower only room in 2025), which also serves as the guest bathroom. The garden bedroom is a twin room (cannot be converted to double) and an en suite shower room. The wonderful master double bedroom on the first floor has front and rear terraces with gorgeous views plus an en suite shower room. Outside there are two self contained suites, one opening onto the pool terrace the other with its own private terrace plus further flat roof terrace perfect for sundowners. Both have double bedrooms and en suite shower rooms. Life at Sargasso is about the views, the colours and the smells from the beautifully planted gardens. Talented chef Andrew Hindley will create exceptional meals for guests from 19 June – 11 September 2022 for 6 days per week (breakfast plus one main meal).
