A completely magical setting and extraordinary views characterise life at this beautifully designed, contemporary and sustainable villa.
Sarah’s House was designed to be simple, airy and calm throughout; a house that makes the most of the extraordinary, panoramic views that spread beyond it. The owner worked alongside renowned architect Jonathan Manser of Manser Associates to create a home that has clean lines, is beautiful but also sustainable and is connected to its magical setting among the olive groves. Guests staying at Sarah’s House will find themselves 1,000 feet above sea level with a 200-degree panorama centred on Corfu Town and reaching as far as Lefkada on a clear day.
The house is characterised by enormous glass windows that embrace the sense of indoor/outdoor living to its maximum. All the floors are hand trowelled smooth concrete which feel fantastic underfoot. This carries on through on the terraces, where they have been treated with a non-slip finish. All the bedroom windows have gorgeous full size sliding cedar panels to keep the house cool and to darken rooms should guests want. The house has open plan living spaces with a fully equipped kitchen occupying one side of the room. The kitchen has an 1100 wide six burner professional range with two ovens, American fridge freezer with ice and water, dishwasher and Fohen instant hot water tap.
Sleeping up to 8 guests over 4 bedrooms, all bedrooms have en suite shower rooms. Sarah’s House is air-conditioned throughout and the owner has used a hidden system to reduce noise and increase the beauty of the interior as a whole. Guests should note that 2 of the bedrooms are by external access only. Outside, wonderful terraces again make the most of the setting and the saltwater infinity pool creates a focal point for the outdoor spaces.
The owner has thought through every aspect of life at Sarah’s House, from the ramp for disabled access to the ethernet system to ensure that guests have the best WiFi possible, from the house olive oil to allowing guests to enjoy the fruits of the vegetable garden. We love this stunning villa and are delighted to offer our guests the opportunity to experience life at Sarah’s House.
