Gordon Castle is a magical place that seamlessly combines the traditional splendour of a traditional Highland Scottish castle with modern finishes that ensure the most luxurious of stays. Celebrated by Robert Burns in his eponymous poem, Burns speaks of “the stream that sweetly laves the banks of Castle Gordon …. the groves that lofty brave the storms of Castle Gordon … where waters flow and wild wood wave by bonie Castle Gordon”. Recommendations don’t come much more elegantly put than that! The Castle has eight individual and spacious en suite bedrooms each with sumptuous king size bed sleeping up to 16 guests. The gorgeous reception rooms, drawing room, study and billiard room ensure that there is plenty of space to both be together and have all the space you could want. Gordon Castle comes fully staffed and includes the resident chef who serves the very best of locally sourced food including Aberdeen Angus beef, Morayshire pork, game from the Estate, fresh fish from the River Spey, shellfish from the Moray Firth plus herbs, fruit and vegetables from the estate’s walled garden For sporting parties, your chef will also pack delicious and lavish picnic hampers to add your day. Gordon Castle manages miles of double bank fly-fishing on the world renowned River Spey for salmon and sea trout fishing. If fishing is not your thing, there are lots of activities including hiking and walking can be arranged and guided on request. A stay at Gordon Castle is an extraordinary experience and we are so pleased to be able to introduce our clients to this wonderful estate and its associated history. Please note that the castle is not licenced to sell alcohol, but can organise and manage provision from a number of local of wine merchants, breweries and distillers.
