Mwangati is an exceptional private house on an absolutely stunning 2-acre plot. With 80m of sea front in Kilifi on Kenya’s amazing coast, guests will experience the very best of East African beach life. The house is fronted by a dramatic swimming pool with the beautifully landscaped gardens bursting with tropical shrubs and trees, including baobab, neem and palm creating a haven of green. Outside life centres around the lofty, makuti-thatched pool house adjacent to the pool with lounging and dining areas and bar. Comfortable, colourful and inviting living and dining areas set the scene both inside and out at Mwangati and there is lots of lovely space for 12 guests to spread out and relax in private. On the first floor there is an airy covered veranda with sitting and dining areas and glorious panoramic views. There are also two double ensuite bedrooms on the first floor, both of which have emperor size beds plus their own outside and inside built-in baraza sofa seats. There is also is a cosy and private television room with curvy and expansive built-in seating. On the ground floor guests have the main living area plus four further bedrooms, two with sea views, two with courtyard views. Kilifi is popular with sailors and the creek offers a fabulous deep-water yacht anchorage and is ideal for boating and windsurfing. Guests are minutes from Kilifi town and a number of delicious places to eat including Nautilus, The Food Movement and Salty’s on Bofa Beach to the north of the town.
