This gorgeous stone cottage has a wonderful history attached to it in that the adjoining kennels adjoining housed the very first Gordon Setters when they were developed in late 18th century by Alexander Gordon, the 4th Duke of Gordon. Bred as a gun dogs the Gordon Setter was originally black and tan in colour and in keeping with this wonderful history, this property is pet friendly. The cottage has three double bedrooms, two of which are en suite, and a family bathroom. Downstairs, the eat-in kitchen has a wood-burning stove and the sitting also has a fireplace meaning that even during the coldest of months, guests will be warm and toasty. The cottage has access to all the stunning walks and hikes on the estate plus guests will have discounted entry to the Castle’s Walled Garden & café. Gordon Castle manages 8 miles of the renowned River Spey so if world class salmon and sea trout fishing are your lures, the Castle team will be happy to arrange some unforgettable fishing for you.
